Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network address conversion method by which VPN (Virtual Private Network) clients on one private network is connected with the Internet via an address converter so as to build up a VPN session with one VPN gateway or more at the same time. SOLUTION: This invention provides the method for converting a network address in the case that a packet is sent/received between a private network and a global network, that includes a step to discriminate whether or not the received packets is an ESP(Encapsulating Security Payload) and a step to apply an address conversion to the ESP packet when the received packet is discriminated to be the ESP, by referencing an internal table cross-referencing a security parameter index and an IP address of a terminal on the private network.
