Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily input and edit characters and a graphic form by matching an X cursor and a Y cursor to the side end of a sheet mounted in a label forming apparatus, detecting the positions, and displaying the shape and the printing area frame of the sheet on a liquid crystal panel. CONSTITUTION: An X cursor 18 for forming area setting means is positioned manually or by an X-Y cursor control key 16c at the left side end of a first frame on a mounting sheet, and the position is measured by an X-axis counter in a label forming apparatus body 16. Similarly, the right side end, the upper side end and the lower side end of the first frame are positioned, and the positions are measured by an X-axis counter and a Y-axis counter in the body 16. The second and third frames on the sheet are also measured. The area frame and the size data of the label printed on a liquid crystal panel 17 are displayed based on the measured positions in the first to third frames. Accordingly, the characters and the graphic form to be printed can be easily input and edited.
