Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semi-rigid coaxial cable comprising a porous PIFE (tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer resin) insulating layer and a sound metal plating outer conductive layer formed on the insulating layer and having heightened rigidity of the porous PTFE insulating layer surface and excellent terminal-workability. SOLUTION: A porous PTFE insulating layer 3 is provided by sintering an unsintered porous PTFE insulator surface layer coated on the outer circumference of a center conductor 2 to form an insulated core 4 and the insulated core 4 is activated for a short time. After that, an anchor metal layer 5a is formed on the outer circumference of the insulated core 4 by electroless plating and then a metal layer 5b is formed by electrolytic plating to give an outside conductor layer 5, and a semi-rigid type coaxial cable 1 is produced.
