Rib-like projected pieces 48 projected toward a housing part 26 for housing the filter medium 30 are provided to an inner wall surface of a case body 20 and the filter medium 30 is supported by the rib-like projected pieces 48. Further, space parts 49 are demarcated between the housing part 26 and the filter medium 30 adjacent to the rib-like projected pieces 48. By this constitution, a part of the fluid introduced into the housing part 26 impinges against the rib-like projected pieces 48 to be temporarily stagnated in the space parts 49 and foreign matter S getting mixed in the fluid at this time is sedimented in the space parts 49.
