Abstract:
To provide a router capable of storing increasing route information to be exchanged between routers without installing more hardwares or updating the hardwares, as the route information continues increasing with the growth of the internet.
The router exchanges route information with other routers, updates its own route information and executes the repeating process of received packets, based on the updated route information. The router is thus capable of compressing and updating the route information of own router without stopping the repeating process of the packets to cope with increasing, and expanding internet route information without installing more hardware or updating the hardware.
