To provide a holder and an actuator that can be miniaturized and have excellent dimensional precision, and a method for manufacturing the holder and the actuator.
The actuator comprises a pair of arm sections 40, 40 for retaining a magnetic head slider 5; a connection section 50 for connecting the pair of arm sections at one end 41b at the pair of arm sections; and a pair of piezoelectric elements 30, 30 that are mounted on the pair of arm sections and displace the arm sections. In this case, the pair of arm sections and the connection section are formed in one piece, thus improving the dimensional precision as compared with when formation is made by machining, such as cutting and bending, and achieving miniaturization.
