To operate a motor without a stop even when no load is present on a fuel cell side, and to reduce the power consumption of a compressor body in a no-load operation in a vehicle-mounted system or the like for feeding compressed air to the fuel cell side by using the compressor body and the motor.
An air release solenoid valve 18 and a two-way solenoid valve 19 are provided in discharge pipes 16a and 16 to connect a discharge port 8 of a compressor body 1 to the fuel cell 14, the air release solenoid valve 18 is opened to reduce the pressure of the discharge air and release the discharge air while keeping the minimum rotational speed of a motor 11 when the fuel cell side is in a non-load operation, and the two-way solenoid gate valve 19 is closed to block the air flow to the fuel cell side. In addition, the rotational speed of the motor 11 is further reduced while keeping the condition, and the power consumption of the compressor 1 is reduced.
