Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell stack capable of uniformizing surface pressure applied to a stack on the peripheral side and the central side, and making the stack small and lightweight. SOLUTION: A solid polymer membrane 9 is interposed between a pair of electrodes 10, 11, to form a unit cell 2, a plurality of unit cells 2 are stacked through a pair of separators 10, 11 to form a stack 3. A fuel cell stack 1 has a pair of end plates 6 interposing the stack 3; a case 8 holding a pair of end plates 6 at regular intervals; and a flat spring 19 arranged between the separators 14, 15 and pressing the stack 3 against the end plates 6 on both sides. At least one end plate 6 has a spherical surface 7 made thicker from the outside toward the inside in the surface direction of a surface contacting with the stack.
