Abstract:

To provide an aluminum foil for electrolytic capacitor electrode, in which the etching property and the reliability are excellent and the non-electrolytic etching can be applied.

This aluminum alloy has a composition composed by mass% of 0.01-0.30% Si, 0.01-0.30% Fe, 0.0051-0.05% Ni and 0.0030-0.10% the total of at least one kind or more among Zn, Sn, Ga, In (>0.02% to 0.10% in the case of Zn single) and further, in the case of desiring 0.0051-0.10% Cu, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. Then, to this aluminum alloy having this composition, a homogenization at ≥550°C for ≥1hr, is applied to this aluminum alloy having this composition to make aluminum foil for electrolytic capacitor electrode. Even in the case of applying the non-electrolytic etching, the uniform pits can be formed at high density and then, the electrolytic capacitor electrode having both of high capacitance and high reliability can be manufactured at low cost.
