Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realige dense storage and improvement in earthquake resistance at a low cost in a spent nuclear fuel storage rack. SOLUTION: This spent nuclear fuel storing rack 20 is so constructed that plural vertical square tubes 21 in which cells 25 for individually receiving spent nuclear fuel are demarcated inside are disposed like checkers in the horizontal section, the adjacent square tubes 21 are connected to each other by welding 27, adjacent four or three square tubes 21 are arranged so that the board thickness center lines of the respective side walls are cooperated to form a cross line, and cells 31, 33 demarcated by cooperation of the adjacent square tubes 21 have the same sectional form dimensions as the cell 25.
