Abstract:

To provide a control device for a vehicle without possibility of complicating control of a transmission caused by prohibition of fuel supply cutoff for restraint of deterioration of a catalytic device.

The transmission is controlled so that the fuel cutoff work by a fuel cut control device 100 is restrained by a transmission control means 114 in the case when temperature TR of the catalytic device 54 is decided to be in a higher state than a previously set judgement standard value T1by a catalytic temperature decision means 110. Accordingly, practice of the fuel cutoff is reduced or eliminated as an automatic transmission 16 is controlled so that fuel cutoff work is avoided at the time when the catalytic device 54 is at high temperature in comparison with a conventional control device to uniformly prohibit the fuel supply work when the catalytic device 54 comes to be at high temperature. As a result, the possibility of complicating the control of the transmission caused by prohibition of the fuel supply cutoff is extensively reduced.
