Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain correct information of respective areas and to enable focus detection operating with precision by clocking and storing the storage images of the multiple areas by means of a photoelectric conversion element itself. SOLUTION: This photoelectric conversion element part 41 of an integrated circuit 40 consists of a pair of area sensor parts 11-1 and 11-2. The area sensor parts 11-1 and 11-2 are controlled, so as to be respectively independent and optimum storage end levels in the respectively divided areas in a zigzag shape, for example. An analog circuit part 42 executes the storage and output control of the area sensor part 11-1 and 2 and detects, sets a level for judging storage end, and controls and transmits a proper gain to an analog output. A logic control part 43 for executing the storage and output control of the area sensor parts 11-1 and 2 executes storage control in successive scanning, so as to permit storage to be ended in the respective division areas in an optimum area and also executes the preservating operation of clocked storage time information. A storage time control part 46 clocks the storage items for division area, and the results area preserved in a SRAM 44.
