To provide a method for easily reusing organic fiber-reinforced plastic waste as an unsaturated polyester resin by chemically treating the organic fiber-reinforced plastic waste and obtaining industrially valuable raw material and resynthesizing the raw material without filtration in relatively short time and using simple equipment, i.e., a method for chemically recycling the organic fiber-reinforced plastic waste to the unsaturated polyester resin.
The method for recycling organic fiber-reinforced plastic waste to the unsaturated polyester resin is to crush the fiber-reinforced plastic waste comprising the unsaturated polyester resin as a matrix and the organic fiber as a reinforcing fiber, subsequently decompose the crushed product by using glycol, react to condense the crushed product as a glycol component with a dibasic acid and synthesize the unsaturated polyester. Especially, when the organic reinforcing fiber is polyester fiber (polyethylene terephthalate, polyarylate and the like), polyamide fiber (nylon, aramid fiber), polyurethane fiber or vinylon, they can be easily decomposed and chemically recycled in a homogeneous system.
