To constitute a magnetic pole with a plurality of small permanent magnets and to improve magnetic flux distribution.

The rotating electric machine has a rotor 1 structured around a rotating shaft 2, a rotor core and permanent magnets. It is provided with a laminated rotor core 3 in which a plurality of grooves 4 for permanent magnets, a plurality of rectangular parallelepiped permanent magnets 5 which constitute the magnetic pole, and a spacer 6 which is placed between the rectangular parallelepiped permanent magnets 5 and determines positions of the rectangular parallelepiped permanent magnets 5 in order to arrange adjoining rectangular parallelepiped permanent magnets 5 in parallel in the arch. The rectangular parallelepiped permanent magnets 5 arranged in parallel is magnetized in the identical direction and more strongly as getting close to the center from the both ends.
