To obtain a exothermic coating composition exhibiting exothermic by solely coating the same on a base material without using electric energy and provide a coating film comprising the same and presenting exothermic.

The exothermic coating composition comprises a coating base containing hygroscopically exothermic fine particles and forms a coating film expressing a hygroscopically exothermic temperature difference (T) expressed below in applying to the coating base. T=T(sample)-T(blank)≥0.5°C, wherein T(sample) expresses a temperature of the surface of the coating film after 10 seconds by putting the film in a circumstance of 20°C and 90% relative humidity after keeping the film at 20°C in an absolute dry condition to adjust the temperature; T(blank) expresses a temperature of the surface of a coating film containing no particles after the same treatment.
