Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electric field light emitting element, which can acquire sufficient covering effect against to moisture and can maintain a luminescence characteristic continued and stabilized at the long period of time. SOLUTION: The organic electric field light emitting element consists of a substrate 1, an anode 2, which consists of a transparent electric conduction film formed in the substrate 1, a negative electrode 4, and an organic luminescence layer 3 formed in the anode 2. At least one of an water absorbing film 5 and a protection film 6 are formed at least in one side surface of the outside of the anode 2 and the negative electrode 4. Moreover, the protection film 6 is formed by nitride silicon film. By absorption of water by the water absorbing film 5 and interception of the moisture by the protection film 6, it can prevent that moisture acts on the inside of the element. And even if a pinhole and a crack exist in the protection film 6, it can prevent by absorbing water by the water absorption film 5 that the moisture acts inside of the element.
