To create a definite video summary across a plurality of pieces of video in line with the user's intention by complementing a deficiency in information with comment that the user inputs and using the reference of the comment.

Summary video is produced by making a comment on a video section which is inputted from the user and reference information correspond to each other and storing them into a comment/reference information storage means, making the stored comment and reference information which are made to correspond to each other correspond to the inputted video section and displaying them, making the user select a video section on which the summary video is based, making the user select an optional video section which can be connected as summary video out of a plurality of video sections in reference relation with the summary base-point section, adding the selected video section to the base-point section, and connecting a series of selected video sections.
