Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a positive electrode material for a secondary battery having excellent electrochemical characteristics, capable of easily and very uniformly synthesizing targeted lithium iron phosphate and the like which serve as the positive electrode from a raw material. SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing the positive electrode material for the secondary battery, one or more kinds of compound containing a metal selected from a group comprising iron, cobalt, manganese, nickel, copper and vanadium is reacted with one or more kinds of compound containing lithium in a solution containing phosphoric acid, and they are then baked at a prescribed temperature. In this secondary battery using the positive electrode material such as lithium iron phosphate which is manufactured by this method for a component, since the lithium iron phosphate and the like serving as the positive electrode shows high electrochemical characteristics, electrochemical characteristics such as voltage efficiency and a battery capacity can be substantially enhanced.
