To provide a method for dry quenching of coke for stabilizing pressure control in a prechamber during operation of a coke charging lid or a cutting gate or during charging of biomass when air blowing into the prechamber is carried out.
The method for dry quenching of coke is carried out as follows. The opening of a flow regulating valve 22 of air introduction equipment 20 is stored after the passage of a prescribed time from a preliminary signal when the coke charging lid 14 above the prechamber is opened and an air introduction passage to the prechamber 3 is simultaneously closed. The opening of the flow regulating valve 22 of the air introduction equipment 20 is set at the stored opening after the passage of a prescribed time from the signal for closing the coke charging lid to open the air introduction passage. Furthermore, the control of the amount of air blowing into the prechamber is returned to normal operation after the passage of a prescribed time. The opening of a diffuser valve 13 is raised after the passage of a prescribed time from starting the charging in one or both of start of charging the biomass, etc., into the prechamber and start of charging of the coke.
