Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester fiber material for reinforcing rubber that has markedly improved heat-resistant adhesion, when it is exposed to high temperature for a long time, as it is buried in a rubber compound or in an atmosphere at elevated temperature. SOLUTION: The objective polyester fiber material contains 3-15 wt.% of a resin satisfying the following formula (1) or formula (2) and has improved adhesion to rubber having a Gurley cord stiffness of 6,000 mg-20,000 mg: Formula (1): 0.5<= absorbance ratio of IR spectra (1510 cm-1 absorption/2920 cm-1 absorption) <=6.0; and Formula (2): 2.0<= absorbance ratio of IR spectra (1510 cm-1 absorption/700 cm-1 absorption) <=25.0.
