Abstract:
To reduce the construction cost of cask storage building by dispensing an overhead crane used for moving a cask.
The frame 1 for fixing a cask comprises an air pallet mount 4 capable of detaching an air pallet 5, fixing bolts 3 fixing the nearly cylindrical cask 2 as vertically put on the frame 1, and a placement plane 1a for placing the frame 1 on a floor 8. The air pallet 5 is mounted on the air pallet mount 4. In the case that compressed gas is discharged out of the air pallet 5, the cask receives buoyancy force from the air pallet 5. Taking advantage of the buoyancy force, the cask is moved to a specific location along the floor 8 and then is stably self-stood on the floor 8 at the placement plane 1a.
