Abstract:

To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with high capacity and superior charge-discharge cycle life characteristics.

The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which comprises a positive electrode in which charge and discharge are possible, a negative electrode in which charge and discharge are possible and a nonaqueous electrolyte, wherein the negative electrode consists of a current collector with continuous pore and a negative electrode active material filled in the current collector, wherein a specific surface area of the current collector indicates from 0.002 m2/g to 0.06 m2/g, wherein a void ratio of the current collector indicates from 60% to 97%, wherein an average particle diameter d of the negative electrode active material indicates from 0.5 μm to 50 μm, wherein a volume from 10% to 25% of the total volume of the continuous pore is filled with the negative electrode active material, and wherein a ratio in a joint area of the negative electrode active material and the current collector against a surface area of the negative electrode active material indicates from 5% to 40%.
