To provide an electrode catheter which does not cause the drift phenomenon leading to the instability of baseline electric potential of an electrocardiogram when it is used clinically.
This catheter comprises a catheter body, a control handle, a catheter tip part 30, a plurality of ring-like electrodes and lead wires 61; a side hole 34 is formed at the pipe wall of the catheter tip part 30 according to the fixing position of the ring-like electrode 31, and each lead wire 61 is connected to the ring-like electrode 31 by joining to the inner surface of the ring-like electrode 31 at the tip part 61A of the lead wire, while it penetrates into a lumen from the side hole 34 formed on the pipe wall of the catheter tip part 30 and extends to the lumen of the catheter tip part 30, the lumen of the catheter body and the inner hole of the control handle; an insulating resin thin film 70 is formed on the surface of a metallic core wire 611 (including the welded part W), at least on the tip part of the lead wire 61.
