To provide a heat treatment apparatus for a cylindrical workpiece, which axially and uniformly heats a workpiece and continuously transports it.
(1) The heat treatment apparatus 10 for the cylindrical workpiece has two rollers 11 and 12 which are rotated around a roller shaft, and on which a plurality of cylindrical workpieces 13 are transported. The two rollers 11 and 12 has side faces of each recessed arc shape in an axial direction. At least one of the two rollers 11 and 12 is inclined with respect to the level. The two rollers 11 and 12 have different angles of inclination with respect to the level from each other, and the difference of the angles of the inclination is in a range of 0.5 to 5 degrees. A roller on a workpiece-outlet side of the two rollers 11 and 12 has a larger diameter than that on a workpiece-inlet side has. (2) The heat treatment apparatus for the cylindrical workpiece includes an induction hardening device. (3) The cylindrical workpiece 13 is a bush for a crawler of a construction machine.
