Abstract:
A DC power supply in which a full-wave rectifier circuit converts the AC current outputted from an AC power supply into a DC current, the DC current is passed through a high-frequency suppressing circuit and a smoothing circuit, and a stable DC voltage is outputted by means of a DC-DC converter. When no load is connected, or when the input capacity of the load is below a predetermined value, the high-frequency suppressing circuit is made to oscillate intermittently, thereby reducing the power consumption.
