Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a water/mud shield structure for inlet ducts of air cleaners in a simple manner. SOLUTION: An air cleaner 5 for arrangement in the space defined from front and back by a center pipe 2, a seat rail and a rear pipe 4 as well as from above by the seat rail comprises an air cleaner case 20 and an air cleaner case cover 25. The interior of the air cleaner case 20 is divided into a dirty room 22 and a clean room 23 with an air cleaner element 21. The air cleaner case cover 25 is integral with an inlet duct 24, and is partly extended back to the inlet side of the inlet duct 24 until it butts against the rear pipe 4 to form an integral shield part 26 against water and mud 35 sprayed up by a rear wheel 15. The inlet duct 24 is entirely enclosed by an outer cover 6.
