Abstract:

To provide a method for producing an exhaust gas purifying catalyst having improved cleaning performance and heat-resistant performance by sufficiently dispersing material to be carried to carriers.

In the production of the exhaust gas purifying catalyst having the carrier comprising alumina and the material to be carried which is carried on the carrier and contains a perovskite multiple oxide expressed as LnMO3(Ln: rare earth metal), the impregnation and deposition of the perovskite multiple oxide to the alumina is performed through a process of allowing a solution containing a catalytic component to soak into micropores of the alumina and fixing the catalytic component to micropore walls.
