To display entire display data for specific information selected by a viewer by providing the other display region in addition to display regions provided in advance, and to present information that the display data contain within limited display regions by adding an indication complementing the information that the display data contain, if the information is lacked.
A reception apparatus comprises: an information decoder for decoding program associated information received together with video signals and audio signals, and a display control unit including a comparator for comparing a received program associated information quantity with a displayable information quantity, and sets a display format for program associated information to be displayed.
