To remove fluffings of paper fibers generated at edge corner parts of an openings of component storing recessed parts 2 on both front and back surfaces of this carrier tape by burning them without charring them while this carrier tape is continuously carried in the carrier tape 1 made of a cardboard which is formed by arranging a number of the component storing recessed parts 2 in a line.
Hot air ejected from at least two nozzles 9 and 10 is blown on the side where the fluffings are generated between both front and back surfaces of the carrier tape in such a way that one nozzle is inclined to the front side to the carrying direction of the carrier tape, and the other nozzle is inclined to the back side to the carrying direction of the carrier tape.
