Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the contamination degree by dioxins of soil or the like to a low level by using a substance containing at least one kind which is selected from a group comprising dolomite and burned dolomite, as a reforming agent for contaminants. SOLUTION: This reforming agent for contaminants by dioxins contains at least one kind being selected from a group comprising dolomite and burned dolomite which is formed by burning dolomite. In this case, dolomite is a rock of a composite carbonate CaMg(CO3)3 of calcium and magnesium, or of which the major component is the composite carbonate CaMg(CO3)3. Also, when the dolomite is heated, the dolomite is decomposed at 700-800 deg.C and becomes burned products of calcium carbonate and magnesium oxide, or a substance of which the major components are the burned products of calcium carbonate and magnesium oxide (burned dolomite A), and at 900-950 deg.C, becomes burned products of calcium oxide and magnesium oxide, or a substance of which the major components are the burned products of calcium oxide and magnesium oxide (burned dolomite B).
