Abstract:
The present invention relates to a generator hub adapter (60) for a bicycle generator hub (10), where the generator hub (10) includes a hub axle (15), a generator stator (42), a connector (22), a hub shell (18) and a generator rotor (41). The generator stator (42) is mounted to the hub axle (15). The connector (22) is mounted on the hub axle (15) proximate an axial end of the hub axle (15) by a nut member (36) and the connector (22) has a first contact terminal 26) electrically connected to the generator stator (42). The hub shell (18) is rotatably mounted to the hub axle (15) and the generator rotor (41) is fixed to the hub shell (18) for rotation therewith. The generator rotor (41) is electrically connected to the hub axle (15) and the nut member (36). The generator hub adapter (60) comprises a mounting portion (62, 162) dimensioned and arranged for mounting on the hub axle (15) and electrical connected to the hub axle (15), an engagement section that is formed integrally with the mounting portion (62, 162) and is engageable with the connector (22) for mechanical attachment thereto; and a second contact terminal (28) formed integrally with the mounting portion (62, 162).
