To provide a system and method for distributing contents while ensuring the security.

A URL (URL2) of a second server for transmitting a second part of the contents and a one-time string (STR2) are inserted to a first part of the contents in a form of an electronic watermark, and a first server transmits the first part of the contents. A URL (URL(n+1)) of an (n+1)th server for transmitting an (n+1)th (n is an integer of 2 or over) of the contents and a one-time string (STR(n+1)) are inserted to an n-th part of the contents in the form of the electronic watermark, the n-th part of the contents is encrypted by using an encryption key generated on the basis of the one-time string (STRn), a user ID (UID), a password (PW), and contents ID (CID) and an n-th server transmits the n-th part of the contents.
