Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a software streaming method distributing a function part and automatically adding or updating it during the operation of a program. SOLUTION: A client 2 requests the stream of software to a server 1 through the Internet 3, the server 1 distributes an automatic function adding and updating program and the client 2 activates the automatic function adding and updating program as a process. Then, the server 1 successively distributes the file of the function part to be added or updated and information indicating the other function part relating to the function part set by set. Every time the set of the file and the information is received successively, the automatic function adding and updating process activated in the client 2 loads the file to the process, adds or updates the function part to make it operable and reports to the other function part that the function part becomes operable. Thus, the function part is added or updated without stopping the software.
