To provide a precursor battery, a lithium secondary battery, and a manufacturing method for lithium secondary batteries capable of suppressing a swell of the battery, an increase in internal resistance of the battery, and a decrease in charge-discharge capacity of the battery by suppressing the oxidative or reductive decomposition of its electrolytic solution even if the battery temperature has risen.
The precursor battery is equipped with a precursor positive electrode including a precursor positive electrode active material, a precursor negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte, wherein the precursor positive electrode active material consists of lithium-manganese composite oxide whose manganese valency is approximately three.
