To provide a power/output control method of a mobile terminal and a system therefor capable of automatically switching the mobile terminal in a public vehicle to a silent mode.

A mobile terminal positioning section 6 measures the position of the mobile terminal 1 on the basis of base station information which a base station information processing section 5 generates by using base station identification signals of base stations 2A to 2C around the mobile terminal 1 or measures the position of the mobile terminal 1 by using a GPS receiver 12, and a mobile speed analysis section 7 obtains the mobile speed of the mobile terminal 1 separately. A power control unit 4 connected to a communication enterprise network 3 stores in advance a route position of the public vehicle to a route position storage section 10, and a transmission reception signal control section 8 informs the mobile terminal 1 about a range wherein the terminal position of the mobile terminal 1 with a greater mobile speed is coincident with the route position of the route position storage section 10 to switch the mode of the mobile terminal to the silent mode.
