Abstract:

To provide a method for forming superconductive ceramics, particularly a manufacture method by a sol-gel process (citrate process) by which uniform high-quality powder is synthesized in a coprecipitation method typical among liquid phase methods.

The method for forming a Y-Ba-Cu-O-based superconductive ceramic thin film comprises: a step of obtaining a gelatinous precursor by dissolving yttrium nitrate, barium nitrate and copper nitrate in a solvent, evaporating part of the solvent by heating, and carrying out cooling to room temperature; a step of obtaining a lumpy product by heat-treating the gelatinous substance; a step of obtaining powder by comminuting the lumpy product and carrying out size classification; a preliminary firing step of heat-treating the powder at a predetermined temperature and lowering the temperature; and a concluding firing step of carrying out heat treatment at a temperature higher than the treatment temperature in the preceding step and lowering the temperature.
