Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defensive system for an underwater sailing vessel, wherein the system can adversely effect, on another underwater sailing vessel to some extent by exploding the defensive system itself when the other underwater sailing vessel is in a transition pass between an approaching pass and a coming away pass, though the transition pass is out of an area within which the other underwater sailing vessel may be destroyed by self explosion of this system. SOLUTION: The defensive system for the underwater sailing vessel is provided with bursting charge 24 with initiating unit 25 and a signal processing portion 21 for processing detected sonar sound from the other underwater sailing vessel. The signal processing portion 21 outputs an initiating signal to the initiating unit 25 after measuring the time period of the sonar sound and the variation of acoustic pressure so as to detect timing when the prolonged time period or the extremely decreased acoustic pressure is detected. This defensive system can detect the timing when the other underwater sailing vessel is in the transition pass between the approaching pass and the coming away pass for the self explosion of this system, so that the other underwater sailing vessel may be adversely effected to some extent.
