Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide, optical multiplexer/demultiplexer, optical parallel bus and optoelectronic integrated device having connection between optical waveguide members with high coupling efficiency. SOLUTION: A first optical waveguide member Of1 whose one end has a 45 deg. tilted end slope F1 and a second optical waveguide member Of2 whose one end has a 45 deg. tilted end slope V2 are arranged so that both end slopes F1, F2, are mutually twisted by 90 deg. and confront the opposite directions and the interval (d) between the members becomes an interval so that the center of the other end slope is located on the position on which a light beam whose diameter is expanded by being reflected at the center of one end slope becomes the same diameter as that of the beam propagating through the other due to the converging effect by both sides at the time of making a light beam incident on one member.
