To provide an injection molding apparatus which can prevent the occurrence of burrs in the peripheral edge of a skin layer when the skin layer is injection-molded on the side of a substrate and can easily carry out post-treatment after a molding is taken out from a mold and an injection molding method.

The substrate 15 is arranged in a cavity 14 formed between a pair of openable/closable molds 12 and 13, and the skin layer 17 is injection-molded in a laminated state on the side of the upper part side of the substrate 15. The peripheral edge of the substrate 15 is arranged to protrude from the cavity 14 to the outside. At the peripheral side position of the cavity 14 in the mold 13, a protrusion 16 the inside surface of which forms the peripheral part of a molding surface 13a is formed. When the molds 12 and 13 are clamped, the protrusion 16 is pressed to the protrusion 15a of the substrate 15 from the cavity 14 and sealed.
