To allow a content to be distributed to a terminal for using the content only when a mobile terminal exists near the terminal for using the content.
A content distribution method includes: a step S13 wherein a mobile terminal 20 generates terminal information including respective terminal identifiers of a content using terminal 30 and the mobile terminal 20 and transmits a registration request message for requesting registration of the terminal information to a content distribution server 10 when the distance between the content using terminal 30 and the mobile terminal 20 becomes a certain distance or shorter; a step S14 wherein the content distribution server 10 registers the terminal information in response to reception of the registration request message; and a step S17 wherein the content distribution server 10 determines whether the terminal information has been registered or not in response to reception from the content using terminal 30 of a distribution request message for requesting distribution of a content and distributes the content to the content using terminal 30 in accordance with the determination result.
