Abstract:
To provide the manufacturing method of a thermoelectric conversion material consisting of NaxCoO2(in the formula, 0.3≤x≤0.8) and whose degree of orientation is 70% or more while whose power factor is remarkably large with good reproducibility.
The highly oriented thermoelectric conversion material is shown by the elementary composition formula of NaxCoO2(in the formula 0.3≤x≤0.8), and degree of orientation in a surface [001] is 70% or more. The material is obtained by a method wherein a thin flake, in which a flake is obtained whose monocrystalline flake is oriented employing a suspension containing the monocrystalline flake and calcinated body power are contained. Thereafter, the thin flakes are laminated and calcinated. Especially, the monocrystal of the monocrystalline flake is manufactured by a coprecipitation method whereby the thermoelectric conversion material having more excellent thermoelectric performance is obtained. The thermoelectric conversion element consisting of the highly oriented ceramic thermoelectric conversion material obtained by the manufacturing method is obtained.
