Abstract:
A method of producing a polarizing film, a method of producing a polarizer, and a method of producing an optical laminate are provided to reduce color spots by forming uniformly a state of a film before a dyeing treatment. A method for producing a polarizing film includes a swelling treatment, a dyeing treatment, and a boric acid treatment for a polyvinyl alcohol-based film which are sequentially performed within a chamber. The polarizing film is obtained by drawing the polyvinyl alcohol-based film from one of the swelling treatment, the dyeing treatment, and the boric acid treatment for the polyvinyl alcohol-based film. One or more wet-drawing processes are performed before the dyeing treatment after the swelling treatment. The wet-drawing processes are performed in a drawing rate of 1.1 to 3 times within an aqueous solution including boric acid of 0.01 to 2.0 weight percent in water of 100 weight percent.
