Abstract:
To provide a sparking plug that can be made mutually compatible both ignition property and durability, by defining sizes or the like of respective parts of a center electrode side noble metal tip and a small diameter noble metal tip welded protruded through the surface of the electrode mother material surface of a ground electrode.
The relation ϕB≤0.8mm, ϕB/ϕA≥1.4, 0.5mm≤C≤1.2mm is satisfied when the diameter of an edge portion 51 consisting of the center electrode 3 noble metal side tip 51b is ϕA(mm), the diameter of a discharging part 52 consisting of the ground electrode 4 side noble metal tip 52b is ϕB(mm), and the height of the protrusion through the ground electrode mother surface 4a is C(mm).
