To raise the turning operability of an electric motor vehicle and to make unnecessary the regulation of a turning operating means of the electric motor vehicle.
The electric motor vehicle 10 includes left and right electric motors 33L, 33R for driving traveling units 20L, 20R; left and right pushbutton type turning switches 81L, 81R; a controller 56; and a target speed regulating member 75 for generating the traveling target speed command of the electric motor to the controller. The controller has a turning inside motor deceleration pattern selection step of selecting one on the basis of a running target speed by a target speed regulating member at a turning switch operating time point from a plurality of turning inside motor deceleration patterns when an operation signal is received from the left or right turning switch, and a turning inside motor deceleration control step of performing the deceleration control of the turning inside motor only during the continuing of the operation of the turning switch by the deceleration control signal output on the basis of the selected turning inside motor deceleration pattern.
