Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery ease used for a sheet-like battery such as a polymer battery, thin in thickness, light in weight and excellent in gas barrier capability against steam and the like, and heat-sealing capability as well as a variety of strength and durability, and also equipped with a safety valve structure against internal pressure increase. SOLUTION: A battery case 100 is formed by heat-sealing a laminated film, 1 having an aluminum foil-laminated intermediate layer into a bag-like form, a main chamber 9 to receive constituent materials of a battery and a sub- chamber 10 for electrode leads are formed by heat-sealing the opening thereof by the use of a partitioning sealing part 4 and an outside sealing part 6, a weak sealing part is formed by forming a narrow sealing part 5 in the partitioning sealing part 4, at least one of the electrode leads of a positive and negative electrodes in the sub-chamber 10 is divided into a battery side electrode 7b and an external output side electrode lead 7a, and they are so structured that the edges of both of them are closely connected to each other in a normal time and both the edges are separated to cut their connection off when the internal pressure rises due to erroneous use or the like.
