Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device not to generate degradation of image quality due to unlimited defect compensation by evaluating pixel distribution when defective pixel information is acquired and suppressing generation of a defective pixel in the case of image pickup within a fixed allowable standard. SOLUTION: This image pickup device is constituted so that the longest limit value of exposure time in photography based on a judged result of an image quality securing condition deciding part by providing a CCD imaging device 5, exposure control mechanism 3 to control exposure for the imaging device, a CCD driver 6 to control electric charge storage time in the imaging device, a pixel defect detecting part 8-1 to detect information about the defective pixel in a specified operating state of the imaging device by control of the exposure control mechanism and the CCD driver and the image quality securing condition judging part 8-2 to perform judgment about satisfaction of a specified pixel fault allowance condition based on the defective pixel information detected by the pixel defect detecting part.
