Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a predicting device for propagation delay time capable of reliably performing transmission with an allocated time slot when communication is restored even through the communication between an orbiting satellite and a mobile terminal is temporarily disconnected. SOLUTION: The time slots of up and down links with an orbiting satellite SV are allocated to a mobile terminals SU, and the terminal SU performs transmission for the up link so as to go into the time slot of the satellite SV with the arrival time of a radio wave from the satellite SV as a reference. The terminal SU is provided with a means 32 for acquiring the Doppler frequency of a radio frequency at the downlink of the satellite SV, a disconnected time measuring means 34 for measuring the elapsed time from communication disconnection start with the satellite SV till downlink reception restart, and a predictively computing means 36 for compreting propagation delay time with the satellite SV from the Doppler frequency at the communication disconnection start with the satellite SV and the elapsed time.
