Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of recovering nonreflective coating glass from an image tube in which the nonreflective coating glass is separated naturally from the output glass surface without affecting the nonreflective coating. SOLUTION: In the method of recovering the nonreflective coating glass from an image tube, the output face is cut out from the image tube, and the cut-out face is left standing for a long period in a container housing a solvent. In the solvent, the UV-cured resin layer 13 that adheres the nonreflective coating glass plate 14 to the output glass substrate 7 is dissolved in the solvent 23 and the nonreflective coating glass plate 14 is separated from the output glass substrate 7. The nonreflective coating glass plate 14 that is taken out of the solvent is recovered in a state before it was installed in the image tube, after the remaining UV-cured resin has been removed again by a solvent 23 such as acetone or the like.
