To provide a slurry dewatering apparatus pressing and dewatering a slurry 11 supplied on a filter fabric 1 by a roll 3, and a supply method, in which the slurry is supplied on the whole width of the wide filter fabric with no unbalance of the slurry supply, and at the same time, the slurry is dewatered at the center of the width of the press roll even if the angle of the filter fabric with the press roll deviates from a right angle.
The slurry is supplied on the filter fabric 1 while a slurry supply port 9 supplying the slurry is reciprocated in a width direction of the filter fabric 1, by which the slurry can be supplied on the whole width of the wide filter fabric without producing any unbalance of the slurry supply. A width direction distribution of the slurry 12 discharged from the roll 3 is detected, and a supply position of the slurry is moved in the width direction of the filter fabric 1 depending on a width direction deviation of a dewatered sludge discharge position discharged from the roll 3, by which the slurry can be dewatered at the width center of the press roll.
