To provide a fuel cell system enhancing energy efficiency of the whole system by reducing energy necessary for humidifying gas being supplied to a fuel cell, making the system compact, and stabilizing the operation of the system.
The fuel cell system is equipped with a humidifying device 21a humidifying supply air being supplied to the fuel cell 11 with cooling water for cooling the fuel cell 11, a preceding humidifying device 22 for previously humidifying the supply air with air exhausted from the fuel cell 11 is installed in the upstream portion than the humidifying device 21a in a supply air passage. Cooling water recovering heat generated in power generation of the fuel cell 11 releases heat with a cooling water radiator 13. The released heat is utilized to heat water circulating through a hot-water-water storing passage 15 and hot water is stored in a hot-water-water storing tank 45.
